Publisher's Description:

SysTracer - SysTracer is a system utility tool that can analyze your computer for modified files, folders, registry entries, startup applications, installed programs and Windows services. Each scan of SysTracer generates an overview image of your system, image that we call snapshot.

Information related to your files, folders, registry entries, running processes, loaded dlls, startup applications and services is stored in snapshot files for later analysis. You can create as many snapshots you may want.

If you want to see the differences between your system status at two different moments in time simply compare the snapshots you made at these points. You don't need to worry about remembering the differences. SysTracer will let you save them in a HTML file.

Now you can export registry differences between snapshots in .reg files (regedit format) in order to revert undesirable registry changes.

The process of recording snapshots takes usually a few minutes depending on your filesystem and registry complexity. Snapshots comparison is very fast - it's practically done in no time.

The user interface is so easy to use that you will don't need more than a few minutes to figure out how you can use it.

A great tool but just not for me...

SysTracer easily is the best looking and most functional registry tool I tried using while trying to diagnose a problem I was having with my mouse / intellipoint.

However, while indexing my registry, systracer would crash becuase it was too big. I wish i had som sense of how long it would take for it to crawl the registry or had some kind of progress bar. without it, I could never tell if it had actually crashed or was still working, but i could just leave it running without knowing how long it would take since i was using valuable CPU time at work trying ti diagnose this problem.

Anyway, that's my story. keep upt he good work. if there was a way to get a sense of how long crawls would take then i would be less
reluctant in using it.

Results after Testing

After testing the systrace,I just received a lot of numbers and adds and registry changes. That's to deep for the average person. I wanted something to show me every add ( full path ) and changes. I'm not really interested in registrys. I wanted to know this because, everytime I remove software, it leaves a little here and there. Can you make it do what I want. I just want to see file names and directories. Example:
I want to see all the paths....

Perfect for what I was looking for

I needed to know what config files were being modified by a program for user preference changes that we were using. This tool was perfect for this purpose. The coloration for the compare deltas led me right to the files and I also like the ability to open the registry keys directly to regedit. Thank you for making this tool available.
